Pre-Primary (English)

The Pre-primary section of Vidya Bhawan commenced in the academic year 1977-1978 with a strength of just 30 students. It was supervised by Smt. Shubhangi Hegde under the valuable guidance of Smt. Pushpa Subramanian.

Above all Shri. N. S Majumdar the principal and Shri. K. N Shirkande Vice principal during that period need a special mention as they were the brain behind the entire ongoing of the school. The Pre-primary English established itself as one of the best school in Ghatkopar over the years. The young mind got the right kind of intellectual and physical nourishment and were nurtured with utmost love and care. As on today Vidya Bhawan is the first and best choice of most of the parents.

In the year 2003 Smt. Lakshmi Gopalakrishnan took over the Pre-primary section and continued the tradition of success. She retired in the year 2016 and presently she is working as a co-ordinator for the Pre-primary  (English medium).

Smt.Pooja Faria is the supervisor of Pre-primary English medium. Before we conclude it will not be out of place to mention that one more feather was added to this great institution by inaugurating the Nursery classes in the year 2016-2017. As of now there are 9 division in Pre primary section and almost 500 students are under its wings and to impart quality education to them is our prime objective.

Shravani Uday Karekar from Sr. K.G. - C secured Fourth prize in “Geeta Pathan” in the Inter-school competition held in the year 2009

    • Picnics: are organized for each section once every year. These include visit to an amusement park or an animal park
    • Encouragements: Fancy dress competition is organized for each section every year. During festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Diwali, we encourage the students to do activities like palm painting, thumb painting, collage work, colouring, etc.
    • Competitions: We also conduct various competitions like Recitation, Story telling, Drawing, Copy-writing, Shloka, etc
      • Celebrations: We celebrate festivals like Deep Amavasya, Naag Panchami, Gokulashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali Party, Holi, etc along with our students 
  • Sports: Various sporting events like Running race, Sack race, Bead race, Balloon race, Potato race, Colour race, Obstacle race, Hopping race, Sitting race, Duck race, etc are conducted to encourage the spirit of participation and success
