It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the world of PUNE VIDYARTHI GRIHA and share with you the tale of its spectacular growth and expansion.

Our country was still under the British rule when this institution was established in the year 1909. Due to the sharp foresight of veterans like Diwanbahadur K. R. Godbole, Shri. Dadasaheb Ketkar, Shri. Annasaheb Khair, and many others, the first rays of PVG fell on the field of education which was indeed the primary need of any individual those days. PVG painstakingly strove towards fulfilling the responsibilities of the deserving yet under privileged section of the society by helping them to achieve their dreams. As you read on you will thoroughly understand how the institution has carved a niche in the stream of education inspite of a modest beginning and is continuosly enhancing its efforts with a single minded objective – “Education for all”.

As the institute completed 100 successful years, I wholeheartedly congratulate PVG for this great accomplishment. I express my sincere thanks to the entire team of dedicated and devoted life members, trustees, Managing committee members, donors, Ex-Students, parents, students and the numerous well-wishers who are the the strong pillars on which PVG is deemed to reach the epitome of excellence.
